Each year as part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations, the annual Dragon Boat Race Regatta at Darling Harbour takes place. For many years Howard successfully and enthusiastically captained both the WorkCover Race Team and the Amnesty International Team. Involvement in the race regatta by these and other businesses, government and community teams assist with community engagement by raising the profile of the sponsoring organisations.
